New Phone Charging Station & Free Wi-Fi Extended at Luton Airport

If you are going to fly through London Luton Airport, then we have some great news for you. Luton airport has extended the duration of free Wi-Fi and installed new charging stations for electronic devices.

The passengers of Luton airport can now avail the service of free Wi-Fi for up to four hours. This service is provided by Arqiva. The duration of free Wi-Fi at Luton is now equal to that of Heathrow Airport. The service is longer than Gatwick (90 minutes) and Stansted (60 minutes). The free Wi-Fi service of 1mbps and if you want to avail the 5mpbs service, you will have to pay extra £3. You will also have to enter some details, in order to get the service.

The second great improvement is the installation of new phone charging stations. With this improvement at the airport, Luton has become the first airport of UK to offer free and secure charging stations, by partnering with Chargebox. With an easy “Connect & Lock” method, you can charge your electronic devices at the airport and travel with full battery.

Announcing these improvements, Rupert Lawrie, the commercial director at LLA, said:

“As part of our £110million transformation, we’re introducing a range of improvements to create the most enjoyable and convenient travel experience for passengers.

Staying connected is important to our customers, whether they are travelling for business or pleasure. That’s why we are extending our free Wi-Fi as well as helping people charge their phones ahead of their flight.”


Luton airport is continuously trying to provide hassle free journey to the passengers. Both of these improvements will help the passengers of Luton airport to travel with leisure and comfort.
